ADA'S VIOLIN just won a Flora Steiglitz Straus Award from the Bank Street Center for Children's Literature, alongside Congressman John Lewis's MARCH and Caren Stelson's SACHIKO. The award is given annually to "a distinguished work of nonfiction which serves as an inspiration to young people." As a long-time fan of Bank Street, this recognition means the world to me. Heartfelt thanks to the Children's Book Committee!
